Aaron J. Savage is the fourth of five children to Jacqueline and Carey D. Savage Sr. Aaron was born in Washington, D.C., and spent the early years of his life living in the city. The family moved to the suburb of Fairfax County, where he grew up in Reston, Virginia. While attending Herndon High School, Aaron was a standout athlete in both football and track & field.In 2002, while shopping with a friend in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., Aaron was approached by a woman who framed his face with her fingers and said "you have a face for TV". That woman happened to be famed photographer Susanne Ollmann. The two met and took a set of headshots, Susanne advised him to send the photos to various D.C. and Baltimore area casting agencies. Within a few weeks, Aaron was appearing on the first season of the award-winning HBO series The Wire. Hide
