He served in the United States Navy 1998-2002 with VS-32 (in Jacksonville, Florida, working on S-3B Vikings. He was deployed to the Arabian Gulf twice (1999-2000 & 2001-2002). He served in Operation Southern Watch & Operation Enduring Freedom.
