Megumi was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, where she first found her love of performance as a nationally competitive figure skater. As a passionate shower singer, she also cultivated her love of music through piano, violin, and voice lessons, participating in school orchestras, choirs, a cappella groups, and musicals. She received her B.A. from New York University where she studied Psycholinguistics and minored in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Upon graduating, she pursued a corporate career in entertainment until moving to San Francisco. It was in the Bay Area that she finally took the leap to pursue her true passion: acting. She now trains at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in San Francisco and is signed with Tonry Talent. She enjoys roles portraying independent women with emotional depth, as well as the freedom her ethnic ambiguity provides! Her ultimate goal is to be a dynamic presence on the big and small screen.
