Thomas Michael Sullivan is an English Actor, born and raised in Manchester, England. As a child Tom attended Marple Hall High School, Stockport, and from an early age began to show signs of a very talented young actor, performing in school plays & local Theatre productions, such as Grease & Bugsy Malone. It was only when Tom reached the tender age of 20 that he made a decision that ultimately, would see him fulfill his wildest childhood dream of becoming an Actor.Tom was accepted into Drama School and began training under the watchful eye of phenomenally renowned Acting coach, Mark Hudson, who works extensively in the UK and the USA, having taught at RADA, LAMDA, Central & Julliard. After obtaining years of knowledge and experience, Mr Hudson opened a school of his own, The Manchester School Of Acting (MSA), which Tom graduated in 2013, with a Certificate In Foundation Screen Acting, a Diploma In Acting & Advanced Screen Acting, and a Master Of Archetypes Certificate. It became abundantly clear, very early on, to all of his teachers and mentors, that his compelling character and astounding intensity was something extremely special, a new generation of actor had arrived and began his journey to magnificence.It was whilst still in training, after participating in a few Student Short Films, that Tom stumbled across a UK wide open casting, calling for a background male artist to appear in the Official Kevin Smith Biopic, Shooting Clerks. Smith is the mastermind writer & director behind the iconic 90's cult classic Clerks, les employés modèles (1994), and has gone on to become one of Hollywood's highest acclaimed Film Directors, working with the likes of Johnny Depp & Ben Affleck. Tom attended the audition, originally going for the supporting artist role of Ernest O'Donnell, but after Christopher Downie, the Director of Shooting Clerks and founder of Auld Reekie Media, the production company behind the movie, saw the footage of Tom's audition, he instantly decided to cast Tom as the role of Jeff Anderson, a lead in the movie with tremendous expectation & demand. Tom, displaying his unique raw talent & unrivaled willingness to succeed, had beaten thousands of other hopefuls to the role and had his first professional job in a Feature Film.Shooting Clerks has been fully endorsed by Kevin Smith as his official Biopic, and is due to be released mid 2015, The director later commented on Toms performance by saying "Tom executed an utterly flawless performance, to take on such an iconic role so early in his career has and incredibly high risk factor, but the magnitude of the circumstances only seemed to fuel him with the desire to accomplish what he set out to do, and that was give an authentic, genuine portrayal of Jeff Anderson, he does this effortlessly". In preparation for the Film, wanting to serve the text and character to his highest ability, Tom watched the original films Clerks, les employés modèles (1994) & Clerks II (2006) continuously, observing Jeff Anderson mannerisms, physicality & vocal ticks, constantly striving to perfect his performance, he also took it upon himself to only converse in a New Jersey accent, rather than his native British, fully utilizing a method actor approach, stretching his ability, feeling this would be a fundamental factor for the role of this caliber. The result, Shooting Clerks was voted in the top 36 most highly anticipated British films of 2015, appearing in magazines such as Empire & Hollywood.com. Upon the Shooting Clerks teaser trailer being released, thousands stormed the Internet as the trailer, inevitably, went viral, featuring on the IMDB homepage sandwiched between movie giants La rage au ventre (2015) & 007 Spectre (2015). Kevin Smith fans across the globe have reached fever pitch as the anticipation to watch the making of their beloved Clerks, les employés modèles (1994) draws closer to being released, Tom had delivered perfectly and the role would see his life change forever.Fresh off the back of Shooting Clerks Tom wasted no time in being cast as a major role in his second movie of the year, beating 3,500 applicants to obtain a role in Free to Be a powerful, gritty British Film, with a story of tragedy & triumph, based on the critically acclaimed autobiography by Christopher Lee-Power, Tom endeavours to take on a alpha male type character, cultivating his talent yet again, filming begins mid 2015. The versatile actor once again showing his raw ability & dogmatic nature in which failure is never an option.2014 was a tremendously successful year for Tom, having appeared as a lead in The Kevin Smith Biopic, fresh from Drama School, to be then cast simultaneously again in another film, it is testament to the belief he has instilled in himself to become one of the most formidable acting talents of his generation. 2015 looks set to exceed his immense early success, after securing two integral roles in Shooting Clerks & Free to Be, both to be released within close proximity of each other. Theatre is an area that Tom is very new to, having only been screen trained, but after thorough discussions with his agent regarding future ideas and options, they both felt it was fundamental for the young actor to hone his craft further, and performing on stage is something he must endeavour to do, in order to develop, adapt & grow. Obtaining lead roles has started to become synonymous with Tom, and with his first audition in a theatre environment, he was inevitably cast as the title role. Judging by his previous in depth preparation for characters, his version of 'The Beast' will undoubtedly be memorable, as he tours with this magical story, performing at some of the most famous, historic theatres in the UK. Following the success of La Belle et la Bête (1991) Tom was subsequently cast in the national tour of the world renowned Le magicien d'Oz (1939) acquiring the role of the infamous Tin Man. Tom shall be scaling the country until mid September 2016, performing this timeless story to thousands.The future holds nothing less than monumental success & prosperity in abundance for this young Actor, the fierce work ethic & focus he has manifested is something truly wondrous, there is nothing that is going to stop this man as he boldly goes fourth in the direction of his goals, he is a constant reminder that you mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger.
