Dead Heat follows Roger Mortis, an LAPD police officer, Roger Mortis who is killed while attempting to arrest zombies. In order to chase down supernatural criminals, Roger has been reanimated by the head of Dante Laboratories.

That it is awkwardly conceived, the premise is absurd and it's just not funny, are its major flaws.

On the screen, it seems to be like a walking corpse itself: jerking around malevolently, with putrefying limbs, a fixed, grisly smile on its face and absolutely no spontaneity.
