Grumpy Old Men
John Gustafson and Max Goldman are two curmudgeonly neighbors who have been at each other's throats since childhood. Their lifelong feud only gets worse when a new female neighbor moves across the street.

The movie is too pat and practiced to really be convincing, and the progress of Ariel's relationships with the two grumps seems dictated mostly by the needs of the screenplay.
