Alone with her baby brother, a young teenager girl, Sara, who lives in her magical world of stories and tales, wishes of any force comes to take her brother away, as he does not stop crying, but when her wish comes true, as her brother has been taken by a king on a mysterious world, she struggles against taking him back before her father's coming back.

Unfortunately, this contemporary (at least, for the era) fairy tale, directed and co-written by Muppets creator Jim Henson, never sets a timely tone beyond the 1980s. It remains disappointingly tethered to yesteryear.
