Description
The story tells about the suffering of a 15-year-old girl named Charlotte Flax. After a while, Charlotte feels that her mother is somewhat stupid because she is moving her family to another different city when she feels that this is necessary at any time in a mysterious way. But when they move to a small town in Massachusetts in 1963, the time seems quite different from the above. Everyone in this small town reveals many things where there will be many family relationships that strengthen their family ties without a doubt.

It's awash in mediocrity, waterlogged with innocuousness and redeemed only occasionally by sweet-faced Ryder.

When "Mermaids" is on the mark it's a riot - but often it bogs down with pointless set-pieces that seem to go nowhere and suffers from an ending that feels contrived and overly sentimental.
