The Fundamentals of Caring
The film follows the story of Ben, a retired writer who becomes a disabled teen's caregiver after suffering a personal tragedy. When the two embark on an impromptu road trip, their ability to cope is tested as they start to understand the importance of hope and friendship.

Rudd, a great stabilizer of even low-rated Rotten-Tomato-ed comedies, is a star whose immeasurable talents need more challenges, and here is a nice change of pace. A dramedy with a little soul.
