In their last summer out of high school, Lilly and Gerry make an arrangement to drop their good girl attitude and try a new adventure. They would lose their virginity in doing so but their friendship is tested when they are dealing with the same guy.

Disappointingly, Foner's young heroines are defined primarily by their reactions to other people. It's a great credit to Olsen and, especially, Fanning that they manage to make these characters vibrant and sympathetic anyway.
