We the Animals
Description
Drama looks realistic, as it tells of Manny, Joel and Jonan, who tear their way through childhood without mercy. Their mother-father-father family seems to be torn apart and have very volatile relationships, leaving children to defend themselves in the midst of many disorders. This miserable life invites Jonah, who is increasingly younger, to have to flee, where he belongs to an imaginary and exciting world away from reality.

Based on Justin Torres' debut novel, We The Animals is a masterpiece on human psychology and an agonizing, but bold inquiry into the lives of the neglected and abused.

We the Animals is the promising start [Zagar] was looking for. I think he has a lot to be proud of. Everyone involved in this production does.

The conclusion is certain enough to be practically foregone, and if what leads up to it is aggressively arty, it's also artful and frank, a rare combination.
