The sixth season begins with more and more powerful events where Jack officially opposes Liz's friend, Tressy continues his protest, Devine Banks returns to blackmail Jack to make his children enter a prestigious school, while Lassie Grammer gets Gina and Kenneth from a sticky situation. On the other hand, Liz searches for a new best friend after fighting with Gina, Jack replaces Kenneth and his teammates with computers, and Grizz and Dot Com helps Tracy find something to live for.

As long as Liz's "hell" remains funny, we'll watch it, and for the most part, 30 Rock has managed to sustain its laughs.

Outside of a few stray moments, I didn't enjoy the premiere very much.

So: funny funny, and full of well-chosen guest appearances and cameos. But above all there was a sweetness to the episode.

In short, much like Season Five, 30 Rock has found its groove, and it's continuing to ride it, flaws and all.
