Description
A series of adventurous adventures of two to travel around the world to discover British Museum Secretary Alex Lindo-Parker travels to the Amazon to search for the missing camp of the Victorian explorer Percy Fawcett. In a series of unfortunate incidents, she joins the American adventurer Hooten and stumbles on El Dorado. Hooten asks Lady Alex to help him find the long lost Sibylline books, a collection of Sufi prophecies. In Rome, the curator of the museum quickly found himself climbing the Sistine Chapel, where he fought the crocodile and faced the mafia.

While a slapstick, British action-adventure series might not sound like CW material, the fact that it's so different from the rest of the network's typical programming is what makes it fit in perfectly. The show is summer television escapism at its finest

It's the way this particular series deals with goofy lines and expected clichés that actually makes it work. If you're looking for some lighthearted action, Hooten & The Lady will fit the bill.

All in all, I think there is potential going forward. The leads are attractive and get along well, the locations are top notch, and the adventure aspect really does play well in the lazy summer months.
