Living in the west and having a great position, Marshal Givens, a young courageous and intelligent man, that does his best, in order to achieve justice, but when he has to return to his hometown, where he attacks by the dark past of his childhood. Upon his arrival, he takes the mission of his old friend that fires a church.

The writers quickly showed their intent: creating individual storylines based around Givens and his "I can draw and fire quicker than you" mentality. It's a premise some will latch on to and others will quickly abandon.

Justified defies easy categorization or even explanation of its oddball appeal - a characteristic it shares, not coincidentally, with the crime fiction of Elmore Leonard, from which it is drawn.

A drama that curbs its enthusiasm for aggressively anti-hero males and instead gives viewers an easier to swallow blend of Southern Comfort and lemonade. It's a pleasure to drink to that.
