Rapture episodes are inconsistent in both quality and in their individual directors and editors' abilities to find and craft a thematic or narrative hook...There's a lot of ground to cover, but the first eight Rapture episodes are a promising start.

The episodes flitted between topics and scenes which resulted in a lack of narrative coherence and direction. The snapshots of the artist's lives often felt thrown together and the dialogue chosen could be platitudinous.
