In season five of the series, it appears that Colombo is still facing a bad fate as he only has a problem crushing the ambassador's argument. During this period, the code writer turns to dead, where the ambassador has a new excuse while there are various paths while Colombo has been able to shake the two months, there is always a problem of immunity.

Columbo: The Complete Fifth Season maintains the high standard of previous years; the teleplays, direction, and performances are consistently several notches above practically everything else airing in prime time in the mid-1970s.
