Harley Quinn's sophomore season has all of the makings of a genuine hit - one that could somehow manage to outdo its stellar first batch of episodes.

Harley's choice to drag her feet instead of seizing control at such an opportune time doesn't quite gel with the determined woman we've come to know during the previous season.

Thankfully, nothing much has changed about Harley Quinn's wicked humor; it beats you over the head with rapid-fire quips before knocking you out with some truly gruesome, but oddly satisfying fight scenes that are heavy on the gore factor.

The new season has a darker tone, which I'm just not sure works for it... Maybe the writers have some tricks up their sleeves for some fun shenanigans for Harley and her crew to get into. This isn't a great start, though.

While it's ridiculous this show isn't available to binge, it's still a very funny & clever show worth watching. Cuoco continues to be the best Harley since the original.

"New Gotham" marks a colourful return to the brilliantly bonkers world of Harley Quinn, setting up an exciting power struggle between Harley and the Injustice League.

Much like the first season, Harley Quinn shines with its comedy. Once more it feels effortless and this is just one episode in.

If you weren't sold on the first season of Harley Quinn, the Season 2 premiere probably won't change your mind. However, the series looks to be even stronger in its sophomore outing.
