How to Get Away With Murder - Season 2 Episode 03: It's Called the Octopus
A sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller about a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant, mysterious criminal defense professor. After taking Professor Annalise Keating's class at Middleton University, the Keating 5 were pushed to their limits as their values, convictions, dreams and even truths about themselves were revealed to be as dark as the law and justice system they're trying to learn. Following the aftermath of the murder mystery cover up that Wes Gibbins, Connor Walsh, Michaela Pratt and Laurel Castillo were involved in, they each fear the worst when Rebecca Sutter escapes from under their watch. Unbeknownst to them, she is found dead by Annalise and her trusted associate Frank Delfino, creating an entirely new murder and undoubtedly, a new web of lies and suspects.

All I know is I'm sad that Bonnie and Asher are done for the moment. The only silver lining: Bonnie and Laurel go out and bond. Laurel admits her feelings for Frank. Yay!

Season two is already better than the first and I can't wait to see what leads to the pivotal moment we see in the flash forwards.

In addition to a sex soaked case of the week, How to Get Away with Murder Season 2 Episode 3 blessed us with an abundance of new information relevant to the big cases of the season.

Along the way, Asher tries to walk away from his role as mole for Annalise's arch nemesis, Michaela admits to never having achieved orgasm and oh man, there's really enough plot in "It's Called the Octopus" to fill three or four recaps.
October 13, 2015
All together a much stronger episode than last's week double-trial hour.
October 13, 2015
How to Get Away with Murder continues to engage with the increasing depth and complications of its characters, for better or worse. "It's Called the Octopus" will surely not the last time the series will intertwine sex and violence so directly.

The courtroom scenes do deserve the eye rolls they got from me, but they don't detract from the overall story "It's Called The Octopus"... [the episode] remains sharp and intelligent, and the silliness of a few isolated moments doesn't erase that.

People are starting to discover that Annalise is both self-centered and selfish. She does have feelings, but she is certainly not empathetic. And, oftentimes, she only looks out for herself, making her the perfect anti-hero of this show.
