The first mystery is literary, involving Cormac McCarthy and is pretty funny, loopy stuff.

Tyson appears to be an incredibly good sport and MacDonald is truly inspired as a booze-guzzling bird. Mysteries never quite reaches the insane/inspired dimensions of Adult Swim's best series, Rick and Morty, but that's OK -- few things on earth do.

Mike Tyson Mysteries should not disappoint the Adult Swim audience, or anyone who tunes in out of curiosity.
November 14, 2014
There are some laughs to be had in this nonsensical series, but they can't make up for its glaring lack of basic entertainment value.

Mike Tyson Mysteries isn't here to change the TV landscape, but it's certainly good for a quick laugh.

If viewers pass out while watching it, one suspects it won't be the zing of the jokes that delivers the knockout punch.
October 27, 2014
Tyson Mysteries is highbrow lowbrow lampoon, alternately smart and stupid, dizzy and disgusting.
