The season continues in a new series, as Maddy fears that David's old flame is using her when she comes back again and she wants to find his help. Dave and Maddy are still trying to look at some things and trying to understand whether a young woman who claims to be a genie should find help with a pot of gold insists that her father has not shown it completely.

Shepherd won a Golden Globe... and no embarrassment of award riches would be enough to commemorate their pairing, which could well be the greatest example of onscreen romantic chemistry ever, or at least certainly on a par with Tracy and Hepburn.

It didn't take Nostradamus to predict that Willis had a future as a movie star, just as it's apparent that Shepherd's glory days were behind her.... Nevertheless, the show hits its stride in the second season.
