This TV series is about Shawn Mendes who is in possession of great power of observation. He is then asked by the police to work with them so he can make use of his powers for a greater good. So he and his disinclined best friend starts to take on complex cases.

The hammy younger actor [James Roday] isn't quite as cute as he thinks he is, and he belongs on a louder comedy series , a laugh-track sitcom in which his clowning might fit in more naturally.

As with Monk, the crime is largely an afterthought. Psych similarly serves up murder as a fluffy souffle, but what a tasty way to end the week.

Psych isn't nearly as much fun as it ought to be, offering a breezy but not particularly captivating twist on a very well-worn buddy formula.
