A wide range of powerful events live in this dramatic series through the 24th season. The season begins with Lisa and Marge trying to make a trip to New York's cheap culture. Marge decides she wants another child but Homer has another opinion about it, and Bart tries to figure out where Lisa goes after school. On the other hand, Bart is able to find his old friend Mary Spookler, and the Simpsons return to New York City.

Compared to the "meh" premiere of South Park, it's certainly better than most of what's on TV.

The Simpsons has always had some sick humor, but I don't remember it being this consistently cruel and, worse, generic.
